Code of Conduct for Parents/Guardians
 
We respectfully ask all parents and guardians to abide by the following Code of Conduct:
Parents/Guardians must

• Help your child understand and abide by the Code of Conduct for Gymnasts and understand the reason for the use of sanctions.
• Ensure their child is fit to take part in gymnastic activity. Any child having had sickness or diarrhoea must not attend class until clear for 48 hours.
• Ensure that their child is on time for the warm up at the start of the lesson.
• Ensure that whenever possible, your child is changed into their leotard prior to arriving at the gym.
  
• Not enter the changing rooms unless your child is under 8 years of age.
  
• Not sit and wait in the changing room for your child either before, during or after the lesson.
  
• Not take a mobile phone into the changing room.
  
• Be aware that other adults do use the facilities provided by Ashmole Academy.
  
• Ensure that they are on time to collect their child at the end of the lesson.
• Bring their child to the gym door at the start of the lesson and collect their child from the gym door at the end of the class.
• Stand to the right of the door by the sports hall when dropping off at the start of the lesson and stand to the left of the door when collecting at the end of the lesson. This is to ensure the safety of all children coming and going from the gym.
• Ensure their child is appropriately dressed for the lesson – leggings/track bottoms/club t-shirt/club leotard. Long hair must be ties back and all jewellery removed. Advanced classes must wear club leotards at all times.
• Ensure that all term fees are paid on time. Late payments will be subject to a £10 late payment fee. Non-payment after the re-enrolment deadline may result in the loss of the place.
• Update us of any changes in contact details.
• Speak to the Coach if they are concerned about coaching/development matters.
• For health and safety reasons parents are not allowed in the gym.
• Take responsibility of their child’s safety whilst in the corridor before the start of class and after class has been dismissed. Whilst in the gym during the lesson, Ashmole Phoenix will make every effort to ensure the safety of all class members.
• Ensure that their child does not bring items of value to the lesson such as mobile phones or watches.
• Promote good sportsmanship at all times.
• Direct all correspondence via our email [email protected] and not via the coaches’ personal mobile phones unless there is an extreme emergency.
